Keep the game audio at full volume

Windows ducks the game by 80% the moment any app uses your microphone. One setting prevents it for this voice chat, Discord, Teams, and every other app. 30 seconds, one time only.

Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar -> Sound settings -> scroll to the bottom -> More sound settings.

Communications tab -> select "Do nothing" -> OK. This is the important one.

Playback tab -> right-click your headphones -> Properties -> Advanced tab -> uncheck Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device.

On the same Playback tab: set your headphones as the Default Device and the Default Communication Device.

Your browser will ask for microphone permission.

In-game push to talk

The browser cannot see your push to talk key while The Isle has the focus. The voice overlay can: a small window that stays on top of the game, connected to this same proximity voice.

Download it again once - the server address changed, and copies installed before 19 July cannot update themselves to it. It self-updates from then on.
