chmod +x GermanDominion-VoiceOverlay-1.0.1.AppImage. The .tar.gz has no automatic updates.

Push-to-talk requires X11 or Xwayland. Native Wayland blocks global keys. Libraries: libxt6 libxtst6 libsm6 libice6 (Debian/Ubuntu), libXt libXtst libSM libICE (Fedora), or libxt libxtst libsm libice (Arch).

Non-compositing desktop: set OVERLAY_NO_TRANSPARENCY=1 for a solid background.

Operation

  1. IsleDeutschlandRP-VoiceOverlay.exe with Steam sign-in.
  2. Push-to-talk, push-to-mute, voice activation, or open microphone. Keyboard and mouse bindings; push-to-mute is a toggle.
  3. Automatic proximity-voice connection and always-on-top window.
  4. Distance- and direction-based audio.

Privacy and scope

  • Voice only; no game-memory access.
  • It connects exclusively to germandominion.de.
  • Bindings remain local and only switch the microphone.
  • Browser voice requires browser focus for push-to-talk.
